Cantieri in Movimento [inter/medzi]forma – work in progress

Pozývame vás na experimentálnu performance inšpirovanú dvojicou kultúrnych centier – Malého Berlína a Zō Centro Culture Contemporanee v Taliansku. Historický rozdiel medzi týmito dvoma priestormi sa stal inšpiráciou pre trojicu umelcov.

Posledné mesiace pracovali na koncepte predstavenia s názvom [inter/medzi]forma. Ako spracovali témy kontrast, krehkosť či symboliku slona?
Výsledkom rezidenčného pobytu je výstup v podobe work in progress, kde môžete vidieť proces tvorby a máte príležitosť ho svojimi otázkami, názormi či reakciami ovplyvniť.

MariaVittoria Magagna (Taliansko)
video a performance
MariaVittoria je umelkyňa zameraná na experimentálny film, videografiu, digitálnu animáciu, inštalácie a performatívne umenie. V súčasnosti žije medzi Cataniou a Rímom, dokončuje štúdium DAMS na univerzite Roma Tre a aktívne sa zapája do workshopov o dokumentárnych filmoch, kinematografii, hudobnej produkcii a distribúcii audiovizuálnych produktov.

Jori Josiphson (Slovensko)
hudba a performance
Jori je tvorcom novej, experimentálnej hudby. V roku 2015 založil hudobný projekt s názvom untitled sea, ktorý charakterizujú ambientné, minimalistické a dronové diela, ktorých hlavnou myšlienkou je pocit neurčitosti okamihu a ponor do hlbín vlastného poznania. Donedávna čisto akustická hudba je obohatená elektronikou, zatiaľ čo Jori Josiphson sa zameriava na vytvorenie symbiózy elektronických a akustických zvukov. Jeho výskum je založený na hľadaní určitej rovnováhy medzi týmito dvoma prvkami.

Riccardo Leotta (Taliansko)
hudba a performance
Riccardo je hudobník, skladateľ a performer pôsobiaci od roku 2019. Po získaní bakalárskeho titulu na ISSM Vincenzo Bellini v odbore elektronická hudba založil „Reisenz“, projekt elektronickej hudby, kde nachádzajú priestor a koexistujú rôzne typy hudobných foriem medzi ambientom, drone, IDM a technom. Pracoval na viacerých projektoch z oblasti divadla, multimédií, filmu či súčasného tanca.

Finálne predstavenia všetkých centier budú predstavené v júli 2024 v Catanii v Taliansku.

English translation of the event

We invite you to an experimental performance inspired by a pair of cultural centres – Malý Berlín and Zō Centro Culture Contemporanee in Italy. The historical difference between the two spaces became the inspiration for the trio of artists.

For the last months they have been working on the concept of a performance called [inter/between]form. How have they treated the themes of contrast, fragility or the symbolism of the elephant?

The result of the residency will be a work in progress. You’ll be able can see the process of creation and have the opportunity to influence it with your questions, opinions or reactions.

Artist’s profiles:
MariaVittoria Magagna (Italy)

MariaVittoria is an artist focused on experimental film, videography, digital animation, installation and performance art. Currently living between Catania and Rome, she is finishing her DAMS studies at Roma Tre University and is actively involved in workshops on documentary films, cinematography, music production and distribution of audiovisual products.
Jori Josiphson (Slovakia)
music and performance
Jori is a creator of new, experimental music. In 2015 he founded a musical project called untitled sea, which is characterized by ambient, minimal and drone works whose main idea is the feeling of the indeterminacy of the moment and the plunge into the depths of one’s own knowledge. His purely acoustic music was only recently enriched with electronics, with Jori Josiphson focusing on creating a symbiosis of electronic and acoustic sounds. His research is based on the search for a certain equilibrium between these two.
Riccardo Leotta (Italy)
music and performance
Riccardo is a musician, composer and performer active since 2019. After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree at ISSM Vincenzo Bellini in Electronic Music, he founded Reisenz, an electronic music project where different types of musical forms between ambient, drone, IDM and techno find their own space and coexist. He has worked on several projects in the fields of theatre, multimedia, film and contemporary dance.
The final performances of all centres will be presented in July 2024 in Catania, Italy.
